WHO ARE WE?
If we set the scene; Bianca and I met in the summer of 2011 at a mutual friend's house, where we were getting ready for a night out. Unfortunately for us the night didn’t follow through but from that day on and 9 eventful years later, our common love of the creative arts, fashion and music grew as did our ability to hype and egg each other on in pretty much all situations! Having been raised and having lived in multicultural London for all-to-most of our lives, we can definitely say that the rich urban scene, with all of its engaging stimuli and spur-of-the-moment events, has influenced us creatively and shaped our ideas for our future. This idea is Bhaisaab.

Bhaisaab first stemmed from my travels to Rajasthan in 2015. I saw a sincere brotherhood between the village people, where respect and friendship was before anything else on the streets, and this later formed my graduate menswear collection where I focused on the concept of building a bridge between the wealthy and the common, demonstrated through a six-outfit collection. In the summer of 2019, Bianca and I put our creative minds together to push for Bhaisaab to go further than just the graduate collection. We evolved the concept into a streetwear brand that reflected the vision of respect and responsibility. A meaningful, honest brand that could be the staple to many.

Bhaisaab is a streetwear brand providing high-end high street menswear apparel. Less is more, and that is important now, more than ever. The brand is about simplifying apparel to garments that can be worn everyday and by everyone. We aim to create an Essentials Wardrobe of classic key styles, a collection which is 100% designed for a man, but with a woman in mind, thus bridging the gap between men’s and women’s streetwear apparel and reducing on manufacturing processes.

We want to create an honest brand that is strong, minimal and responsible; with a focus on quality (through fabric and production), trend-longevity on a few key pieces and keeping sustainability and positive practices at the heart of our decisions.

WHAT ARE THE FUNDS NEEDED FOR?

Manufacturing in Europe and the UK comes hand in hand with ethical production, fair wages and a transparent supply chain, all aspects we share within our brand values. However this also means higher production rates. The money raised would go towards the manufacturing of our product, allowing us to build our products from an idea to a physical piece, covering the stages from prototype and samples to the final bulk production.

Bianca and I both have a proud and deep-rooted Indian heritage. With most of today's fast-fashion being manufactured in the east, in particular India, with terrible wages and working standards, we feel we have a duty to rewrite this narrative and create a dent in the world of fast fashion. As we build our brand in the coming years, we also aim to build our supply chain to incorporate Indian factories that share our value of ethical workmanship, sustainable practices and social outreach.

HOW SOON ARE FUNDS NEEDED?

Soon soon soon!

We are working daily on Bhaisaab with an aim to launch our first collection in October! At the moment we have found a great manufacturer based in London that take on small independent brands. They work directly with ateliers and factories in Europe and stand for sustainability, ethical practices and high standards of fabric quality and production. We’re raising £5000 to put towards these manufacturing costs which would allow us to move forward with them to start our development process.

The support would mean the world to us. Not only through the funding that would allow us to make the product, but by knowing that our ideals and values of the fashion industry, and the commitment to changing our buying behaviours are shared by our community. And there, the dent in fast-fashion has begun.

So any donation small or big would help us out in our journey to create an honest streetwear brand.
