Lucy needs your help to save her life. She was found living on the street by Dallas Animal Control in Dallas, Texas, in August 2025. Lucy is scared of people, and it is clear she has been mistreated. She was placed on the euthanasia list for fear, anxiety, and stress. A volunteer fell in love with her and decided to foster her. Lucy was very loving and affectionate with her foster family, but Lucy has a very high drive, and the resident dogs did not accept her into their pack.
Her foster mom took her to an adoption event, hoping to find the right family for her, but Lucy had an accident when someone wearing dark sunglasses and a hat reached for her when she was standing by her foster mom. Lucy scratched his finger with her tooth, and he filed a police report. He was given a small band-aid for his scratch with no medical care given to him, and Lucy was put in quarantine.
Lucy doesn't have much time. A rescue that does specialized training has offered to help her in a five-week training program where Lucy will receive constant care. She will have intense training every day, she will receive enrichment throughout every day, and she will be socialized with people and other dogs, all with the goal of helping her work through her fear so she can be adopted by a loving family.
Without your help, her outcome is one too hard to say. She is a sweet dog that wants so hard to love and be loved. She deserves a chance to be her best self and live a happy life.
All funds raised will go to the rescue for training, her boarding while she is there for the five-week training program, and for the time she is in foster with them after the program while they find her forever family.
Please help Lucy. Her life depends on getting out of the shelter and getting the training she needs.
