My name is Marcela Joos, and I’m setting up this GoFundMe for a dear friend. While they wish to remain anonymous, their need is urgent and I am asking for your charitable support.

Their mother has been diagnosed with colon cancer, requiring immediate surgery, while also battling serious conditions including diabetes, cardiac insufficiency, renal failure, and atrial fibrillation. These health challenges have taken a significant toll on both emotional and physical well-being on my friend and their mother.

For the past two months, my friend has been giving everything they have to care for their mother, but it's taken a huge toll—physically, emotionally, and financially. They moved to Atlanta for a career opportunity, but now, as the sole caregiver, they’re facing this overwhelming challenge alone. With their focus entirely on their mother’s care, they’ve been unable to work or manage much else, and they’re feeling desperate and isolated.
