Help Mitch and Sami Hawkins

Sami is one of my very close friends and has been married to her loving husband Mitch for over two years. At the beginning of last week, Mitch began experiencing severe stomach pains and was taken to the ER. It turned out that he has pancreatitis, which was severe enough to lead to several of his other organs shutting down and his needing to be life-flighted from one hospital to another to receive specialist treatment. He has already undergone several surgeries to save his life but luckily he is now in a more stable condition than before.

Medical costs in this country are exorbitant. Even though Sami and Mitch have insurance, they will owe a very large amount of money for doing what it takes to ensure that Mitch will survive, which will include one more surgery and months of physical therapy once he is cleared to go home. I, with the support of our group of friends, am posting this because I am hoping that anyone who can spare a few extra dollars would be able to help my friends out. I know this has been a tough year for everyone but any small amount would make a world of difference to these two. If you are able to donate anything, I know we’d all be incredibly grateful; even if not, just keeping these two in your thoughts would be much appreciated.
