Goose's cancer treatment fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Maddie & it pains me to say that my sweet boy Goose was just diagnosed with an ulcerated tumor on his eyelid that is rapidly growing by the week. What started as a small scab on his eyelid quickly grew into a mass that is still actively bleeding. I took him to several vets over the past half a year, and only recently did a doctor suspect and confirm that it was a tumor.

He recently had an appointment with an ophthalmologist to consult for surgical removal of the tumor and this is what they said:
"Unfortunately, tumors on or near the eyelids can be malignant and require more radical surgical removal, and even radiation or chemotherapy. If a more severe mass is suspected, a needle biopsy may be recommended along with chest x-rays and/or abdominal ultrasound. These types of tumors can cause a variety of signs ranging from simple redness and tearing to more severe irritation and corneal ulcers. After removal of any eyelid mass, it is generally recommended that it be submitted for microscopic analysis.
Since Goose has a heart murmur, I would recommend a cardiology evaluation prior to scheduling surgery."
Anesthesia can be fatal to cats with heart problems and unfortunately, given his unknown history before I got him, we don't know if his heart murmur is indicative of heart disease without seeing a cardiologist to determine the safety of the procedure.
To know Goose is to love Goose. He's in my lap rubbing against my face as i'm typing this. He is such a special guy. From the moments he spends in my lap trying to play instruments with me while I'm practicing to the times we spend cuddling on the couch or laying in my yard, I can't imagine life without him.
These funds will go directly to the costs of these things:
Ophthamology consult
Cardiology Consult
Echocardiogram & Xrays
Mass Removal with potential eye removal or eyelid reconstruction
Possible chemotherapy/radiation
Post-op appointments/Microscopic analysis
Medications
