Hi, we are Big Guard U,

Our mission is to deliver a holistic basketball program for young individuals, with a strong emphasis on honing skills, fostering teamwork, and instilling positive character traits. We are dedicated to addressing the distinct requirements of our youth and community, striving to leave a lasting impact through our services that cultivate leadership for future generations.

Our program’s vision is to establish a national travel team for competitive sports, allowing us to challenge top-tier athletes. Additionally, we aim to provide opportunities for players and young individuals to experience the vibrant atmosphere of various universities. Furthermore; we are optimistic about leading by example to our young mentees.

Big Guard U will consist of a travel team of 16U of the Des Moines community. This travel team will compete on a national level to showcase their skills. It's in our favor to steer each player to an enriching and challenging basketball experience for our players that prepares them to compete at the highest level. We believe that basketball can be a transformative experience for young athletes, and we are committed to helping our players reach their full potential both on and off the court.

Our aim is to facilitate players' journey towards college basketball at various collegiate levels, while also encouraging them to contribute to their community. While this is the goal, funding is a huge component towards reaching this goal. Expenses such as game jerseys, tournament entries, travel expenses (gas), food, and clothing all come into play.
