BGT- Baby Got Track

Hi, my name is Enosha and I am a teacher at Beginning with Children Charter School. This spring, I was able to curate a group of girls in my middle school who were interested but new at track. In 10 weeks, our girls went from kids who couldn’t jog a 400 meter track to CPSAL’s NYC state champions!

My goal this season wasn’t to “win” but to encourage confidence, commitment, and determination within these girls. And luckily, I’ve seen so much growth in my girls and I can’t wait to see them perform in their upcoming track and field events.

I was recently featured on Humans of New York and received so much positive support and kindness from people all over. I’ve been asked many times to start a gofundme and I’m grateful that my community wants to contribute what they can. Funds will go towards track athletic wear, track equipment, transportation to travel to meets, snack and other supplies necessary for our girls to be successful in both the field and the classroom.
