Buddy needs your help. At only 9 weeks old Buddy was diagnosed with a intrahepatic liver shunt. This is a birth defect which results in the body being unable to flush toxins from the blood which leads to neurological problems such as seizures. As you can imagine we are heartbroken and we are doing everything we can to help him. At only 11 weeks old he has been hospitalised twice and now surgery seems like the only option for him to have a happy life. So far the vet bills have been over £2000 and we are running out of money fast. He was advertised with a four week free pet plan but as the breeder did not activate this properly we have had to pay for all of his treatment. As soon as we bought him we got insurance but he was not covered for illness for the initial 14 days so all the vet bills have to come out of our own pocket, as the condition is ongoing he will never be covered for it on the insurance. The surgery is estimated at £7500 and on top of this he might need follow up appointments/a second surgery which will cost even more. Buddy is still fighting and he isn’t ready to give up yet and neither are we. Any donation is massively appreciated.
