People always say I have a way with words, yet as I sit here staring at this blank computer screen, I somehow have absolutely no idea what to say.

My name is Danielle Sinnokrak. AJ Porter is my stepbrother. Many of you have reached out to our family asking what you can do and how you can help...so here we are.

Again, I don’t know where to even begin. We were never raised to have a hand out or accept charity of any kind, therefore this feels surreal...but I do need your help.

Whether you agree with AJ’s passion and decision making or not, there’s a grieving mother out there who didn’t deserve any of this. And she can’t afford to give her son what she wants him to have.

If you have never held a weeping woman who just found out she will never see, speak to, love on, hug, hold, or kiss the child she brought into this world again, I solemnly pray you never have to.

As a mother, I’m genuinely struggling with the idea that my baby can be in my arms one minute and Jesus’ Arms the next. Having to then make heavy financial decisions is unfathomable.

Long story short, it will cost $20,000 to give AJ a decent service, funeral, and lay him to rest with his family members...and unfortunately, I think so many of us think we have all of this time to prepare. We think these things happen to other people, not us. No mother should ever bury her child. And Kim wasn’t prepared to. She just wasn’t.

Please help me lift a weight off of the shoulders of a woman who will never be whole again.

AJ sure did love his Mama and given the chance to take this back, he would. He undoubtedly would.
