Urgent Liver Transplant

Pushpalatha is a vibrant, 65-year-old who has been an asset to her community in Kansas City. A phenomenal wife, mother and friend, Pushpalatha went to India as she does annually in the winter to help with a charity project that feeds many of the needy in Tirupati. She was supposed to fly back to the States at the end of March but she, unfortunately, experienced a sudden life-threatening illness that placed her in critical condition in the ICU for a week. The doctors at Apollo Medical Center (where she was admitted) have emphatically stated that she must stay in the hospital as they work on keeping her alive. She requires a liver transplant and this will most likely come from a live donor transplant. The total cost was placed at INR 27 - 30 Lakhs at minimum to cover the donor-recipient matching, workup and procedure. This may go upward depending on post-procedure complications.

Her family and friends are trying to pool money to help her as she undergoes this procedure. Any amount, no matter how large or small, will help aid us in these troubling times.
