Jean's Cancer Battle

I have decided to start this fund for the man who saved my life that may now tragically lose his. 

To give insight into how amazing of a man Jean Agosto is, he single handedly saved my life on March 10, 2021. I was attempting to end my life and had called him to say goodbye. As a result of the pure love he has within his heart, he managed to obtain enough information from me to send help. I was found completely unharmed by police officers, which may not have been the case had it not been for him. 

Jean is also a family man with three beautiful children, ages 9, 10, and 13, and an amazing wife, Jeyris. Jean and Jeyris are very hardworking individuals, with Jeyris working as a Medical Office Coordinator and Jean working for an Amazon Delivery Service Partner in a management position. Both of them put their heart and soul into what they do, as Jean is one of my bosses, so I see his efforts first-hand. 

Jean began his first courageous battle with cancer in October 2019 with a diagnosis of stomach and esophageal cancer. Due to this diagnosis, Jean had to undergo a significant surgery that had an extremely low survival rate. However, he possessed the immense bravery to go through with the procedure in order to fight as hard as he could. Jean was victorious in this battle, as he entered remission as of August 2020. Jean recently had the tattoo I have included completed, which is the surgical plan that was created, as well as his surgeons' signatures.

Unfortunately, Jean received the devastating news earlier this month, March 2021, that his cancer had returned, as he now has lung cancer. On Monday, April 5, 2021 Jean underwent a surgery that lasted between 5-6 hours. 

The surgeon removed an additional mass that was not expected, which indicates that the cancer had begun to spread. 

Due to his recent surgery, his amazing wife, Jeyris, has taken 30 days off of work to support Jean and assist in his recovery. 

Since his initial diagnosis in October 2019, Jean and his family have experienced significant financial hardships due to the extremely high cost of his necessary medical care. All proceeds raised in this fundraiser will go directly to Jean's medical bills, as well as the various expenses that have accrued as a result of his diagnoses. 

Jean Agosto is one of the most important people in my life, which is why I want nothing more than for his family to thrive in every aspect of their lives. These are amazing people who have given every ounce of effort into staying afloat, so I really want to do everything in my power to help them succeed.
