Christina's Medical Bills

Hi all,
With permission to disclose from Christina, Sid and I write to you all from Regency Hospital in Golden Valley Minnesota.
On the morning of February 18th, 2023 our mom awoke with insurmountable pain in all of her joints/extremities. The pain was so substantial that Christina was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic. Upon her admission, a variety of tests, scans, and exploratory surgeries were performed to try and discover the locus of Christina's pain.
After several days of exploratory surgeries to try to identify what is causing all of this discomfort, multiple exploratory surgeries - the culprit was discovered. Christina had been diagnosed with Sepsis due to Streptococcus Group A, Necrotizing fasciitis; a flesh-eating bacteria. We advise warning if you are to research this horrific diagnosis as it can be graphic.
As Christina's hospital stay continued throughout the month of February, the month of March came and our light to beating this disease diminished. Due to the complications and challenges Necrotizing fasciitis presents, Christina, unfortunately, lost her right leg (partial amputation). Our mom has been an absolute warrior throughout this process; we cannot commend her resiliency and faith enough.
March 29th, 2023 - After countless minutes, hours, days, and weeks; on day 39 we finally received word that Christina has been medically cleared to be discharged from Mayo Clinic.
For the foreseeable future, Christina will be continuing ongoing care for this disease due to the implications and damages it has posed to her body. Christina will be residing in a critical illness recovery hospital within the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area. At this time, we are uncertain if/when Christina will return home.
Sid and I want to thank all of our support people near and far. The positive support and check-ins from our friends, family, and co-workers; we cannot thank you enough. As we continue to navigate the best care for our mom, Sid and I are not ones to ask for help but, we are asking for some additional assistance. Due to the immense complications this nasty disease has done, we are beginning to collect medical bills as they relate to Christina's extensive hospital stay, needed prosthetics, and ongoing critical care needed to support her.
Sid and I thank you all for your continued support, comfort, and care as we navigate our new normal with Christina.
All our love and kindness,
Liv and Sid.
