Support for Carlos Carillo's medical expenses
Donation protected
Carlos Alberto Carillo is the son of Jose Carillo, a founding member of the Bailart Dance Company in Addison, Texas. Carlos is battling Thrombocytopenia (Pulmonary) and the latest updates to the family from the medical team explain the situation is severe. He has a blockage in an artery and bleeding in the infected lung. Jose returned to Mexico to be at his side. Mexican health care is partially subsidized with facilities often requiring upfront and out-of-pocket payment before any treatment or procedure and thus many residents face economic disparities in access to healthcare services. The Carillo family is in dire financial need to help pay for medical expenses; any contribution could help save his life and is much appreciated.
Carlos just turned 18 and recently graduated from high school, excelling academically, and would be starting his career at Universidad Continente Americano a highly recognized and selective private institution of higher learning in Celaya.
Jose immigrated to the United States from Celaya, Guanajuato which meant making the difficult decision to leave his family behind for the opportunity to support them in a way he could not in his hometown. Jose makes up a part of the construction workforce building our country and yet [im]migrants remain widely unprotected and family separation has become an all too familiar sacrifice. Days, months, and years enduring the absence of his family in the hopes of improving his children’s educational outcomes – in the hopes of sending his son to university to be the first in his family to graduate from his family.
Thank you, from the Bailart Family, for supporting a beloved member of our family and dance community.
