I am a single mom who has been trying to get back on her feet after losing my job due to being a DV victim. I had to leave my home state to stay with family over 500 miles from my home for myself and my child’s safety. I quietly moved back and have been trying to get back on my feet ever since.

It’s taken 4 months, but I finally have landed a new job. However, I am two months behind on rent and my car note. The courts gave me 7 DAYS to pay my rent or I will have to get out. I have nowhere to go and would love to be able to stay in my place. It’s just impossible to come up with all the fees in 7 days. I appreciate any and everything given to help me and my baby out.

I never thought this would be my life, and I am pretty embarrassed I am even doing this which is why I didn’t upload myself or my child’s face. I have always been super prideful and independent, and this hardship I am experiencing has been the worst. I was denied unemployment, TANF as well, I just want to be able to keep a roof over me and my child’s head.

My leasing office is NOT willing to help or accommodate either. Anything helps!
