Hi! I'm Jen, a 39 year old woman from VA. I Am a 23 year survivor of a rare Liver disease. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and Primary Schlerosing Cholangitis at the age of 15. I have done my best to live my life like any healthy person would, despite having my Colon removed at age 23, and undergoing multiple surgeries since then. I insisted on getting a job at 16 and have worked hard and took several promotions until the disease finally caught up with me in 2012 and I could no longer keep up with the demands of being a retail manager.
The prognosis for PSC is 12 years from onset until transplant or death and can only be cured by transplant. I am going on 24 years with the disease and I'm still fighting!
I am attempting to raise money to pay for some of my current and future medical bills, as well as to support myself and 2 daughters while I'm unable to work. Thank you for reading my post whether you can help or not!
