I am raising money this Christmas season for a good friend of mine in the Lord. I would like you to place yourselves in their shoes this time of year for just a moment. If this was your family, would you not find a need to give out of your heart?

This family’s journey of difficulty started with a hardworking husband trying to provide for his wife and six children with his business and found himself literally feeling as if he was about to die. This brother expressed to me that the Lord had been preparing him for this moment for a while. This sweet brother of mine in the Lord had his life changed due to a rare moment in time when he suffered from a vertebral dissection of the artery which triggered a cerebellar stroke. As terrible as this sounds, my friend in Christ was placed in the neuro ICU with classical symptoms of this debilitating condition. As he is passing through this trial, he reassured me that the Lord is still with him and that he has a reassurance of peace that he is a child of God.

Can you imagine being in a place where you do not know what the future holds for your family as the head of a household? What worries and concerns of the world might flood the thoughts of a father? Let me reassure you that this man is thinking more about how the gospel of Jesus Christ can be advanced through his testimony of weakness than anything. Also, to add to this story, this man was a former pastor and currently evangelizes faithfully.

I plead with you, whoever you are, please help this family this Christmas season to donate a small amount for the trials placed on this family. The Lord has placed on my heart that the small things in life can only be dealt with by faith that God will comfort and provide for His children.
