We are a cooperative parent participation preschool, started in 1966.
Sun 'N Fun Creative Playgroup parents are involved in the planning and operation of the school and its activities, experiencing first-hand the joy of watching their child experiment and explore. We come together to provide the best learning opportunities for our children and to share our children's early school experiences.
We put an emphasis on activities that promote the child’s creative, cognitive, physical and social growth. We run a supportive, self-directive program designed to stimulate the children’s imaginations and meet their needs.
The intimate social setting at Sun 'N Fun fosters each child’s emerging independence in a safe and focused arena. Our philosophy is to encourage our children's natural curiosity and quest for knowledge in a loving, caring environment.
We have been fortunate enough to operate our pre-school at the old Zoeter Elementary site since opening in 1966, almost 50 years ago! The City of Seal Beach has been incredibly supportive, but our non-profit school maintains the building.
With El Niño approacing we are replacing the leaking roof and rotting window frames, upgrading the window glass to tempered or energy efficient. We have received very generous repair quotes for the work needing to be done, and are extremely grateful.
We would like to have all the work completed before the new year, during the winter break when the children are not in school.
We love the Seal Beach community and are proud our building has such a great educational history. We want to keep the building in great condition for all the children currently attending and all the future families that will be a part of our Sun 'N Fun legacy.

All donations of $500 or more will have a commemorative tile mounted at the school to thank you for your support!
