Hi friends and family,
Three years ago, I became a Montessori teacher. My mentors and successors encouraged me to take my Montessori training, and this year, I am following their advice and pursuing my AMS 3-6 Lead Teacher certification. This is an incredible process: a 1 year training program that prepares me to teach in any Montessori primary classroom around the world, giving me the tools to teach language, peace, conflict resolution, mathematics, science, yoga, biology, and so much more to incredible children of all ability levels and backgrounds.
This program is incredibly rewarding, challenging, and time consuming. It is also staggeringly expensive. The tuition alone is $6,000. However, the tuition does not cover the gas and travel expenses to cover my monthly weekend long training meetings in Charlotte, the 12 original lessons I must create and purchase, or any of the other album expenses that just continue to accrue.
If I complete the program but am unable to pay all of the expenses, I will not receive my accreditation. I humbly come to you to ask for any support you may be able to give. The smallest donations will help, and will go directly to paying off the remaining tuition balance and purchasing the many, many materials that I need to complete my required assignments and book the remaining weeks of lodgings and travel expenses.
As many of you know, teaching is a rewarding job that fills the heart but not the bank account. As I work towards this goal, I humbly thank you all for the love, support, and encouragement that has been so freely offered. I will never forget the people on this journey that have made it possible for me to follow this dream to completion.
