Beyond Therapy Funds for Sarah

I am very excited about this opportunity I have to participate in a rehabilitation program at Shepherd Center of Atlanta called Beyond Therapy during the month of March. For those of you who don't know my story, I suffered an L1 vertebra burst fracture resulting in spinal cord injury after a tragic deck collapse on Thanksgiving day 2014. I had therapy at Shepherd Center for 7 weeks before I went home for outpatient services. Since I left Shepherd last January I have been praying that God would guide me to the right therapy options that would promote the best recovery. Though my time at the therapy facility at home has been very helpful, it cannot compare to what Shepherd has to offer. I have almost exhausted the outpatient therapy I can get here and think it is in my best interest to join Beyond Therapy before I start grad school.
Their website says it best:
"Traditional therapy programs are designed to help patients become as independent as possible using compensatory strategies and training on how to care for themselves after discharge from the hospital.
In contrast, Beyond Therapy focuses on promoting lifelong wellness and maximizing muscle and neural return through a program of intensive strengthening and motor patterned activity concentrating on weaker muscles and nerve connections that may have been ignored in the initial phases of recovery."
Because Beyond Therapy is a self-pay program and is not reimbursable by insurance, I really need your support. Typically, clients participate in nine hours of therapy per week for four weeks at $100 per hour. That comes to a total of $3,600 plus apartment costs (averaging $2,000-$2,500 total) and extra spending money for food and for traveling home on the weekends. Any additional donations will go towards paying off medical bills. If you cannot help me reach this goal financially, I would always appreciate your prayers.
