On October 24, 2025, Beyond The Finish Line With Star will celebrate its one-year anniversary. Over the past year, this podcast has shared the untold journeys of athletes from all over the world—stories of resilience, sacrifice, victory, and hope.

But storytelling doesn’t end with words. Stories inspire action.

For our one-year celebration, we (the community of athletes and guests who have shared their journeys) want to do more than talk—we want to give back.

The Goal

As Beyond the Finish Line celebrates its one-year anniversary, we are launching an initiative to give back in a meaningful way. Over the past year, athletes have shared powerful stories of resilience, sacrifice, and dreams. To honor these stories, we aim to raise US$1,000 to directly support one African athlete.

This fund will cover essential needs such as food, training amenities, and support throughout the season, providing the athlete with stability and a fair chance to perform. With this foundation, we hope they will be able to reach the standards required to secure a scholarship opportunity in the United States.

The selected athlete will receive the full amount to help them pursue their dream—whether that means better training, access to equipment, travel for competitions, or covering basic needs that allow them to stay in sport.

How We’ll Choose the Athlete

• Athletes from across the world will be invited to submit their story: why this support matters, and how it would change their journey.

• Stories will be shared transparently on Beyond The Finish Line With Star’s platforms.

• Together, we will select one (or more, depending on funds raised) deserving athlete(s).
