Beyond Survival: The Mission for 30+ Neighborhood Cats

One cycle that needs to break.

I didn’t set out to start a rescue, but life had other plans. I’m currently looking after a colony of over 30 stray cats. Right now, they are just surviving. I want them to thrive.

The Inspiration: Batman’s Journey

I know that "thriving" is possible because of "Batman" (the one eye cat). We found him as a tiny stray kitten, stuck upside down in a tree with a horrific eye injury. My boyfriend and I rushed him to the vet and spent a week or two desperately trying everything to save his eye, but the damage was too severe. He eventually underwent surgery to have it removed.

Today, Batman is the happiest cat in our home, soaking up every bit of love and attention. He is living proof that even the most broken stray can have a beautiful life if someone steps in to help.

The Reality:

While Batman is safe, his former "neighbors" are still out there struggling. It’s not just about the numbers; it’s about their health. The colony is currently battling:

* Chronic respiratory infections (Cat Flu)

* Severe eye infections

* Ringworm outbreaks

While I provide food and shelter, the population is expanding faster than I can manage. Many females are pregnant again because local TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) waitlists are months long. We don't have months.

The Mission:

I’m launching this mission to move Beyond Survival. My goal is to raise funds to bypass the waitlists and get these cats into private clinics immediately for:

1. Life-saving medical treatment for infections and skin conditions.

2. Urgent sterilization (TNR) to stop the cycle of suffering.

3. Vaccinations to ensure this colony stays healthy long-term.

Why it matters:
