Beyond Series Fundraiser!!

Now that our IndieGoGo Pre-Production campaign has ended, we wanted to open up a GoFundMe to continue partnering with you guys and create a place for you to support the show! We achieved roughly 50% of our projected goal through wonderful donors like you and private investors- this covers our overhead fees as we head into production (lodging, dining, transportation, equipment, etc.). We'd love to still knock the other 50% out of the park as we complete production in the next few weeks, and head into post-production in a few months' time! These funds will provide for our team's wages, post-production festival submission/touring, film editing and scoring, and so much more.

To all who are hearing about the show for the first time, welcome! Ekpe Productions is the film company and work of Jollyfisher and Efaobasi Ekpe- brothers and current acting students attending university. This summer, they are striving to film an episodic pilot to submit for film festival, streaming, and studio consideration. The full series, Beyond, is a 9-episode coming-of-age drama stylistically inspired by Netflix's hit "Outer Banks", and HBOMax's 'Waves'. The series follows a group of high school adolescents as they come face to face with complications after the 'party of the summer' sees one of their friends into an overdose-induced coma. These characters face a loss of identity chasing a flawed facade of themselves but find healing through facing truth and letting go.

Why this and why now? Now more than ever before, there is a calling to bridge the chasm that seems to be between Christianity and mainstream media. We are dedicated to be a series that truly explores the depth of humanity- the good, bad, and ugly, and not shy away from the truth of losing it all, and the hope that is redemption.
