As many of you know, my mum Judy was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC), also known as advanced or stage 4 breast cancer.  Whilst there are treatments, there is no known cure and this is a terminal diagnosis.

When mum was diagnosed in 2017, and was looking for a way to connect with others with this diagnosis, she discovered there were no support groups - so Beyond Pink was born.

Every member of Beyond Pink is living with MBC. Sharing the lived experience helps ease the burden of the many challenges of this incurable disease. The group aims to ensure that every person with MBC across the Bellarine and Geelong knows that local support is available. The group provides support, information and resources to the group members and their partners/carers.

A small amount of funding can make a huge difference for Beyond Pink - providing care packs for unwell members and enabling them to share the group more broadly, so others living with this disease can connect.

In Australia, about 55 people every day will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Of all those diagnosed with early stage Breast Cancer, a significant number will go on to develop Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC). To raise money for this amazing group, Rory Challen and myself will be walking a combined 55 kms (in one day!) to raise money.
