Beyond Hoops Africa Launch
Beyond Hoops Africa is a basketball and life-skills program targetting youth in various African communities. BHA rides on the ability for sport to educate, empower and inspire youth from all walks of life.
Sport is inherently about drawing on, developing and showcasing young people’s strengths and abilities, and by shining a light on what youth can do, rather than what they cannot do.
This approach is strength based and promotes hope and a positive outlook for youth and their communities.
We are fundraising to raise money to facilitate the launch of Beyond Hoops Africa which will be on 14 th July 2018 in Nairobi, Kenya. It will be followed by two weeks of basketball and lifeskills activities targeting youth in 4 different cities as a start: Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Nakuru.
Funds will be used to build a website,purchase basketballs and refreshments at each camp, the printing of t-shirts, printing educational materials, and cover travel costs out of Nairobi city. Your generosity and support is very much appreciated.
