BEYOND DOUBT - Student Thesis Film By Lakshika

Hi, I am Lakshika Nirmalanandan, I am a student at the New York Film Academy pursuing a MFA in Acting for Film. I am preparing to shoot my thesis short film. I have had a passion for acting since childhood and have a background in the corporate industry,I aim to address workplace harassment through my film. As an international student, I am seeking support to fund my project. My short revolves around an ambitious young woman who faces a disruptive event, leading her to confront her struggles, recognize her self-worth, and seek justice.

The central theme is empowering change by taking a stand for oneself.

The funds will be used to get a location, crafties, equipments and production of the project. Furthermore, it will be used to submit the film to festivals as this is a topic which should reach a wider audience.
