I can’t believe I’m writing this…but here I am struggling to find words to fill this page. On Oct 7th my sister Beverly Herron suffered a major stroke at the age of just 41. She was transported by ambulance to Piedmont Walton where she stayed for a couple days until she had to be life flighted to Atlanta for emergency brain surgery. It was only after the surgery that we would learn the full extent of her injury and the fate that she would never return home. It was also here that she would stay in the neuro-ICU and hospice units for the next 10 days. Today, Oct 19th Beverly lost her battle. She leaves behind an 18 year old daughter, who was not only her very best friend…but her entire world. They were truly the ultimate mother-daughter duo. Beverly solely and wholeheartedly saw to it that Haley’s every wish was filled. Haley is currently enrolled at Georgia State with plans to attend UGA next year. We are both humbled and broken and trying to do everything possible to pick up where Beverly left off and support Haley as she would have. For that reason alone we are creating this fund to help Haley, who at only 18 is dealing with unimaginable grief and pain yet exudes strength far beyond her years. All donations will go directly to Haley. If you are reading Bev’s story and unable to donate, I ask for your prayers. There is a long road ahead for our family, but most notably Haley. Please pray for strength and peace for her over the days, weeks and even years to come. Thank you and much love to you all! ❤️
