Where to begin..... Lets write this for those who know Bev and for all those who wish they have someone like her in their life (Although there truly is only one Beviemac !)

For the woman who is always smiling and always putting others before herself,( including the homeless on the street  she has helped  on her way to work) As if being a struggling single parent wasnt enough of a challenge,  this woman has been dealt so many difficult cards in life.  Yet she has always put others first and is always smiling with her fabulous red lipstick on.  Her upbeat look on life with her amazing sense of humour will have you on the floor in tears laughing.  Thats our Beviemac !

Diagonosed with Breast cancer in September 2012, she had one breast removed within weeks of the diagonisis and dubbed herself "the uni-boober".  After surgery and chemo
and enduring months of bone, muscle and joint aches from the side effects, she was informed that she had been given some wrong pre chemo medication via intravenous.
While struggling with these issues, and losing her hair, she realized that so many people who are affected by Cancer, (or other serious illnesses) were not able to financially survive with just EI sick benefits.  Sadly, the illness far outlives the EI benefits.  Armed with a passion to help others, she started a cause to extend these benefits.  While struggling with her Cancer she met with government officials from Ottawa who flew out to meet her, along with numerous newspapers and news station interviews.  This was in an attempt to change the EI sickness benefits nightmare for everyone who may have to deal with such serious illnesses and financial burden.

She had to wait another year for reconstructive surgery as she could not have normal implants due to the fact that she had been given a pacemaker years prior to the
Cancer diagnosis.

Since her reconstruction surgery in fall of 2014, she has had infections from the drain bag which is attached to her. She has endured numerous surgeries since then due to infections.  Her latest hospital stay was  over 50 days in the Royal Columbian Hyatt Regency (as she calls it !).  Upon finally being released to return home in mid July 2015 (still with an infection), her father has since passed away.

During this battle with Cancer, some of her friends have passed away as well.

No matter what bad luck and circumstances would come her way ( and as you can see she has had more than her fair share ), she would find the humorous side of it, pick herself up , and make sure that you do not worry about her.

BUT, we are now worried that she can't take much more...... It has now been 3 years of battling, and with her infected wounds and surgeries to come, she is unable to work, has no EI benefits available, debt is steadily increasing and no other recourse for funds to pay her living expenses.

One way to help is to try to reduce her financial burden.

We know she would do this for you..................Please help this amazing wonderful woman.......
