I’m very sad to announce that a dear and beloved individual, that many of you know by family member, neighbor and friend, is currently in the ICU of Beth Israel Hospital. She is undergoing a number of testing, examinations, and could need a major surgery. Over the past couple of days she has has a fever. It was nothing too crazy, but because of her symptoms, especially with the threat of covid-19, her symptoms were concerning. Upon further examinations she was discharged. Over the course of the next couple of days, she experienced an advanced decline in health and was delirious, and was unaffected by any of my gestures. Her words became jumbled and didn’t make any sense. She had to be rushed by ambulance to the hospital. After a CT scan was taken, it showed a mass in her brain. The mass in her brain is accompanied by a large amount of swelling. She is still undergoing testing to determine if emergency surgery is needed. In the past couple of days, everything that I knew within my mother, her vibrant personality, her sarcasm, humor and beauty, has disappeared before my
eyes. She is absolutely terrified and doesn’t understand where she is, what is going on, or why she is in so much excruciating pain. My mother is disabled, widowed, and suffers from peripheral neuropathy. Everyone knows her to be the worlds biggest sweetheart. She would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat and has shown that to many many people over the years. Her loyalty, love, and huge heart are something that I carry with me every day. She is all that I have left. Please please please, if you can, anything helps. I am trying to figure this all out on my own. I am her 23 year old daughter and I need to figure out what bills are due and when, the costs of her treatments and testing, and I am pushed to my absolute max. I am stripped of all resources because of this. She never asks a thing from anyone. If you can, please help this woman. She is the light of my life and I simply can’t do this alone.
