Beverley Smith
My wonderful mum, Bev Smith, has been a dedicated supporter of Nations Together since 2014. She was always proactively thinking of ideas to help raise funds. We hosted many fundraising events together. We were discussing plans for our winter fundraiser a few days before she became unwell in early October.
When Theo, her eldest grandson, then aged 7, and I volunteered with Nations Together in Tanzania, Mum lovingly helped us prepare and fundraise, baking many cakes in her kitchen, so we could provide essential medications to the service users and treat them to a day safari with their families.
Nations Together aids social inclusion and acceptance for adults with learning difficulties living in Tanzania, East Africa. Nations Together offers service users a safe space where they are valued and supported to reach their utmost potential.
Mum was pleased when Nations Together shared their vision for the charity to continue and build on the service provided. We are in the process of creating an image to share the plans with you.
We hope you can donate what you can and help us to create something to help others in her memory.
Thank you.
