Bety's Kidney Transplant

In 2016, our dear sister, Bety Guzman was diagnosed with Stage 3 Kidney Failure during her last pregnancy about 6 years ago. The doctors have not found the cause of the Kidney Failure. She had to uproot her life and move closer to where her continuous doctor appointments would be so she doesn't have much family around. She is thankful to God that she had 6 years where she was able to work without needing dialysis. She had to start dialysis now since her kidneys are no longer functioning. She will be forced to go into disability and will not be working since doing dialysis takes a significant amount of time every day. We have a potential donee so praying everything moves along swifly.

Bety is 38 years old, has been married to her husband Tommy for about 18 years, and has four beautiful kids. My sister has always been a very hard working person. She and her husband were able to take care of their family before she was diagnosed with Kidney Failure.

Donations will be used to cover continuous medical expenses not covered by her insurance, travel expenses for the medical appointments and offset living expenses. Funds will also be used to cover medical expenses and lost wages (to take time off work) for the donee.

If you can consider donating some funds, it will be a blessing for her and her family. No amount is too small. If you are not able to donate funds, please consider saying a prayer for her and her family as we continue this journey with her.
