Hi, my name is Tammy Eck Rex. My mom Betty Eck is the sweetest person you will ever meet. Betty was hit by a car last Sunday in a gas station parking lot. A woman started backing out of her parking spot, failed to look in her side mirror, and knocked my mom down. Betty hit her head and developed a brain bleed instantly. she was life-flighted to Allegheny General in Pittsburgh. They did surgery that night to remove the fluid and remove a piece of her skull to accommodate the brain swelling. She has been in the ICU on a ventilator for nine days now, fighting to get better. My dad Denny has been driving down every day. The expenses are getting to be astronomical. With him not working currently, any donation would be greatly appreciated to keep him going to be with her and any future expenses. Betty is truly a fantastic woman and would do anything for anyone. She and I would talk every day, which I miss very much. Aimee, her granddaughter, has blessed my parents with a beautiful great-grandson, their first. Hannah, their other granddaughter, was coming to play cards with GMA, which she loved to do. She has a long recovery ahead, but she is a fighter and means the world to her family.
