Meals & Room for Ms. Betty Whitaker

On Thursday, April 2 William Whitaker had an awful four wheeler wreck in which it flipped and it landed on his chest and head. He has severe trauma and swelling to his brain and head including his skull and facial bones being crushed. He has had surgery on his skull to relieve pressure on his brain and has more surgeries to come as his body becomes able to tolerate it. Due to COVID-19 regulations his mom Ms. Betty Whitaker & his girlfriend Ashley are not able to stay overnight with him, but have been able to get a room nearby and are very thankful for that. Ashley and William share a beautiful two year old Bella whose world revolves around William as his world does her and Ashley is taking care of her every need as she splits up her time in the ICU to be with William. Betty and Ashley are able to alternate days of sitting with him and neither have left his side unless they’re forced to do so because of the regulations for the current pandemic. His girlfriend Ashley is a critical care nurse and does an incredible job and Ms. Betty is so grateful to have her by his side, just like having his own personal nurse. When asked how we can help, Ms. Betty is asking for prayers more than anything, and they are all so appreciated. I am starting this go fund me to help relieve their meals and lodging expenses during this time, and if I hear of any other needs I will update on here and the amount. It is unknown how long he will be in the hospital so right now I’m just setting the goal for a few weeks at a time (until 4/29) at this time so I will continue to update it every couple of weeks. I thank you all so much for your help and prayers. I know that Ms. Betty would not ask for this help on her own and she will be very grateful to everyone. She said by having your kind donations she’ll also help Ashley with gas money and anything Bella may need (diapers, food, etc) as Ashley is able to stay every other night at the room and travel back home to be with Bella during in between days. This is all so scary for them and I know any help will be appreciated. Any donations raised in addition to what they will have to spend on lodging and meals will be saved to help care for William as it is sure to be a long road ahead.
