Meet Betty. We rescued this poor girl from a neglected home. She arrived in our foster care skin and bone, her fur was matted all over. We placed her in a crate, and comforted her with a plush bedding. She was so weak, she couldn't even make it to the litter box from her bed. The owner, hard to call him a owner, neglected her for months was giving her only dry food with no water because she was screaming urinating. We suspected extreme dehydration, and UTI. Upon a vet visit and extensive bloodwork, we found out she was dealing with hyper thyroid which was causing her lose weight rapidly. Along with the hyper thyroid, and dehydration, she was dealing with urinary tract infection, which was causing her pain urinating. She barely weighed 6lbs. Her UTI is treated, she was cleaned up from all the matted fur. She is now on thyroid meds, and receiving fluids 5 times a week to recuperate her failing kidneys. It has been little over a week, Betty stood up for the first time, made it to her litter box. We are hopeful for her, yet it is bitter truth her bills are going to add up quickly.
Meet Tiny. After being rescued 6 years ago, Tiny moved in with our care giver, who feeds 13 feeding stations a day, and helps us keep our TNR/rescue recovery place in shape. Tiny showed symptoms of breathing difficulty. After extensive xrays, he was diagnosed with a polyp in his nasal passage that is causing blockage in breathing. We have already spent over $500 for his diagnosis, and we will be facing with larger bills for his polyp removal surgery.
Please help us help Betty and Tiny.
If you can not help today, please share with your family and friends,
Blessings to you for your support,
My best,
Dee
