Hello friends, family, acquaintances and strangers with good hearts! As some of you may know, my friend Erikah's beloved CRV (lovingly named "Betty Sue") was stolen right out of her driveway early Monday morning! Fortunately, Erikah was not in the car when this happened, but UNFORTUNATELY... insurance is not as helpful in these instances as it should be.

Erikah is an extremely dedicated, hard working Chef at Full Belly American Bistro and works her butt off to keep Sussex County well fed with one of the most eclectic menus in the area. Betty Sue is her means of transportation to and from work, and her insurance provider will not even provide a rental for this situation, nor will they help with the $1,000 that Erikah still owes on the vehicle. The police working the case have informed Erikah that she will probably not be getting Betty Sue back and that she should start looking for a new vehicle.

I have seen what this community can do when one of our own needs help, and I am asking for your help today to cover the debt owed on Betty Sue and hopefully at least $2,000 more for a decent down payment on a new vehicle. Erikah's birthday is August 25th, and I'm hoping that we will be able to give her this gift just in time!
