Hi Everyone, Thank you for visiting the gofundme page that we created to help our cousin Betty Sisay. Betty lives in Ethiopia and due to a series of unfortunate events is in dire need of everyone's help! please read below for the full story.
Betty Sisay(pictured) was a 24 years old newlywed soon to be mother to a baby boy, when tragedy hit.
Betty had a seemingly normal pregnancy. All her checkups were fine, here baby was growing as expected, she found out she was having a boy, and was feeling thankful to God for blessing her with everything she had ever wanted. She and her husband Wendesen Zewde were eagerly counting the days until they'd meet their gift from God, their baby Boy.
But just six weeks before the expected due date Betty suddenly was experiencing sever pain, she was rushed to the hospital and would be diagnosed with Pre-Eclampsia, a life threatening condition that develops in pregnant woman caused by high-blood pressure. This led to further complications causing placenta abruption with sever postpartum bleeding, as a result and much to everyone's heartbreak Betty lost her baby Boy just 6 weeks shy of being born.
It doesn't end here, Betty had to mourn the loss of her unborn child while also fighting to live. the sever bleeding and complications resulting from Pre-Eclampsia caused permanent damage to her kidneys, Betty at the young age of 24 had to become dependent on a dialysis machine.
Within the past 5 years there were numerous visits to the hospital, for medical checkups in addition to her regular twice weekly dialysis visits. Betty her husband Wondesen and all immediate family remained optimistic and grateful through all they've endured. Betty's loving husband has been covering all her medical costs, living expenses and transportation. Unfortunately the global pandemic caused by COVID and the impact it's had on many businesses has put a strain on their finances and Betty and her husband are unable to pay for her medical expenses and have been relying on friends and family for support.

Betty is an incredibly sweet person, who's loved by everyone around her, the girl next door, respectful of others always willing to help those in need and a child of God. she could be your sister, cousin or daughter. Through all of this she's remained faithful and grateful for all that she has, despite all that shes endured. simply put she's the kind of person the world needs!
The funds raised here will go to cover Betty's dialysis care cost, medications as well as living expenses. Any amount you're willing to contribute will be appreciated to the fullest, and will certainly make a difference!
