Saturday Morning-April 29th Update:
Betty passed away this morning. It was her first morning at the Hospice House. Her sister stayed the night with her last night and was with her through her passing.
Jim is holding up but we are all a bit in shock over how quickly she went even though we were praying for her not to suffer. She is with the angels singing and I can see her hugging and smiling at everyone she sees there. "This is the day that the Lord has made!"

Update:
Betty has been moved to the Hospice House in Bellingham. I spent time with her yesterday and it was wonderful. She was talkative and had a good day. The day before that was pretty difficult.
If you are so inclined, the family could still use some financial support through this time.
Thank you for all of your support.

Hello, My name is Judy Sturlaugson. Betty McNeely has been a dear friend for many years. She is the epitome of grace and kindness. She eludes joy down to her pores. We spent this past spring and summer swimming and enjoying the water and sun together. There we prayed together in the pool for our families and our friends. We enjoyed growing even closer to God together as we continually shared out stores with one another.
Meanwhile, something unforeseen was building up in her body. She thought she was suffering from acid reflux. She went to the doc and they prescribed medication to help with the symptoms. She went for bloodwork and that all came back fine. The "reflux" continued to get worse, so finally, a doc agreed to do an upper endoscopy on her. That is when they found the cancer. She was sent to Seattle for more tests and came back with Stage 4 inoperable stomach cancer. She was put on a feeding tube and began Chemo. The chemo is not agreeing with her.... she is currently in St. Joseph's fighting for her life.
Please pray for her healing and if you feel led, the family could benefit from some financial support. I thank you for reading this and I hope you will continue to keep the family and her many friends in your prayers.
