Living in the Pierre/Fort Pierre SD area, there’s a very good chance that the Hanson family in some way has touched your life. Unfortunately, Betty and Fred Hanson lost their home, possessions, and even pets to a house fire today, July 10, 2023. There was no loss of human life, but they are left without the home that they have lived in for 30 years. Coworkers and friends are raising money for Fred and Betty Hanson and their family. They are safe, but they have lost everything. Please consider donating to help cover the costs they will face in the upcoming months.

A benefit account has also been established at BankWest. Please write checks to the "Hanson Family Benefit Account". Checks can be sent via mail to 420 S Pierre St., Pierre, SD 57501.

Because there is nowhere to store items at this time, we are not asking for physical donations for the family. If that changes, we will update this site.
