On Sunday, our family experienced a heartbreaking loss with the passing of my beloved mother, Betty. She was a guiding light in our lives, always placing family and faith at the center of everything she did. Betty believed deeply in encouraging others to follow their calling, and she was especially passionate about supporting her grandson, Aren, as he pursued his studies and his journey toward ministry.

Betty and Aren’s Special Bond

Betty loved talking with Aren about his studies and his calling. Some of their favorite conversations were about faith, different beliefs around the world, and how he hoped to serve others one day. She was incredibly proud of the path he was choosing. Aren has been studying world religions and is now just one semester away from graduating. Completing this final semester will allow him to take the next step in discerning his path to become a minister—something Betty cared deeply about and spoke of often.

In lieu of flowers, our family created this fund to honor Betty’s memory by helping Aren complete that final step. The costs of tuition, books, graduation fees, and commuting for his last semester are a significant challenge for us right now.
