My name is Mallory, and one of my dear friends, Brianna Overton, has very unexpectedly been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

On August 8th, she went to the Emergency Room with concerning symptoms. Doctors quickly determined she needed to be admitted, and after further testing, they ruled out all other illnesses and suspected leukemia. She was then transferred to a hospital that could provide the specialized care she needed.

A bone marrow biopsy confirmed the diagnosis, and she is now facing approximately six weeks of inpatient treatment at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute in Nashville.

This diagnosis has completely altered her life. Overnight, her household went from two incomes to one, adding a heavy financial strain during an already overwhelming time. Her greatest concern is keeping life stable for their 6-year-old son, Lakai, while focusing on her fight ahead.
