Research has shown that the coronavirus (Covid-19) can survive as an aerosol as well as in droplet form, that outdoor interactions are safer than indoor and that air purifiers with a "true hepa" filter are effective in clearing the virus from a room, especially when used in conjunction with masks and social distancing. Yet it has been confirmed that BPS will not be providing air purifiers or tents to the JP Manning Elementary School.

This Go Fund Me page is for people to contribute to the purchase of air purifiers for the classrooms, the hallways and the lobby, extra replacement filters, and outdoor tents as well as other Covid-related supplies related to both safety and remote learning that may arise.

In addition to protecting our students and staff in the event that the school reopens this fall, the purifiers will be useful for years to come to improve air quality in an old school building without an air filtration system and the tents will be great for future school events.
