Betsy-Boo Needs An Operation

My name is Alicia and I’ve set up this fundraiser because my mum’s dog, Betsy-Boo desperately needs an operation.

My sister, Georgia and I bought Betsy-Boo with our birthday money when I was 12 because our mum was going through a really tough time and we wanted to encourage her to get out of the house more and it worked!

Betsy-Boo developed a lump on her head about a year ago and we had it looked at by a vet who wasn’t concerned at the time. However, it got a bit bigger earlier this year and then she caught it on something while on a walk (she’s always been a bit of a Dora the Explorer!) and it bled.

Mum does her very best to keep it clean and dry but it’s in a tricky position and hard to keep a dressing or bandage on so every once in a while Betsy-Boo will catch it or scratch it and it bleeds again. She needs a course of antibiotics because it has become slightly infected recently but that alone is going to cost £185.

We have been quoted over £2000 to remove the lump and have approached every vet in our area but none of them do payment schemes.

We have also contacted charities but none can help us due to not being in their catchment areas or the smaller local ones are struggling themselves.

So this is a desperate plea for help.

We appreciate that times are hard for everyone right now but we would be so very grateful for just pound or two towards our target to get Betsy-Boo the help she needs.
