Hi everyone! My name is Betsy Ross, but everyone just calls me Betsy. My birthday is honestly July 4, 2018! My parents met me last year at DAWS, an animal shelter in Bethel, CT. I had just traveled up from the Carolinas where I was an owner surrender. Mom fell in love with me instantly and convinced dad I'd be the perfect addition to the family. They couldn't wait to get me so they brought me home the day they moved into their new apartment - man was that a crazy time for them! I just watched them unpack from whatever comfy spot I could find. Through the months I've lived with them, I've weaseled my way into the heart of everyone I've met because I'm just that cute ;) My favorite activities include playing with my kitty brother Mowgli,  sharing a snack and a kiss with my rabbit brother Thor, cuddling with my humans and running around like a nut ball. The last one is what got me into a little trouble though... See, I was playing at the dog park and a dog ran into me. I'm a little on the small side so I went tumbling. When I got up again, my leg was very ouchy. Turns out I completely tore my ACL :( we went for the consult and the vet was very nice, but the surgery is a lot more than we all expected. Could you please donate some money to help my mom and dad with the costs of me getting better? I know it would mean the world to them. Before the injury, I used to just go out to use the bathroom alone (I was a good girl and stayed in the yard), but now mom and dad have to carry me up and down the stairs and use a sling to help me walk. I know they don't mind doing this, but we all miss me being able to run around and have fun like I used to. You see, I'm still a puppy and life has been pretty boring since I got hurt...
