Hi,

My name is Betsy Martin and I'm trying to raise money to cover my basic living expenses.

In March of 2021, I was shot in the middle if the night at a friend's house, by a disgruntled ex-employee.

After an excruciating journey of healing and therapy, I am able to live on my own with the help of my service dog,"Pistol".

I am not able to work, not in any way I used to. I have been denied by all of the insurance possibilities, because this isn't considered an accident. I can sue the shooter, but will not gain anything except more bills, because he is in prison and has no means to pay. I have been denied by social security disability even though I have worked and paid in my whole life.

I can not even do regular things like grocery shopping due to the anxiety I feel all the time.

It is not in my nature to beg, but I am out of all regular options, and don't know where to go next.
