Today was a beautiful day celebrating Memorial Day and my best friends house warming party. Sadly, during the celebration, her dog, Athena, was hit by a car. She just turned one. Luckily She survived. She was immediately brought to the vet and she has multiple fractured ribs (one of which needs to be removed), a hernia pushing against her lung, and air pockets that need to be emptied. She is going to need surgery and the bill is going to be around  $10,000. No one should have to choose to let a best friend go because of financial reasons. Especially Athena’s parents as they are some of the kindest people I have ever met. Any help would be SO APPRECIATED!!
