I don’t believe words can express the beautiful soul that was lost this week, though i guess that is the only way her soul and memory will live on brightening our lives is for those words to be spoken..
It breaks my heart too inform everyone that on Wednesday night, my beautiful, selfless grandmother, took her last breath after battling a very severe case of pneumonia in the hospital. Elizabeth was not only someone that you could always count on to show up for you, she was also the person in the room you could count on to crack the most inappropriate but hilarious joke. I’ve never experienced someone able to be so unapologetically themselves like my grandmother. Her laugh was something that just made the hardest days a little easier like getting a compliment from someone on a really bad day or getting to have your favorite meal when you are feeling under the weather.
Everyone is completely heartbroken by her loss. She left behind two grown adults my uncle and mother, 5 grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, my son. With her sudden passing and the hospitals requirements (due to my grandmother wanting to be cremated) we have a very short time to come up with the funds for that and for her celebration of life- (if you knew my grandma, you know she would not stand for having the traditional “funeral”.)
Absolutely anything helps and is so appreciated by the family. I appreciate everyone that took the time to read just the little sliver that was offered into the light this beautiful woman has given us to keep in our hearts and carry on
