Beth's Journey: From Loss to Healing
Donation protected
I am sharing this story on behalf of my life-long friend, Beth. Beth is an incredible person—funny, generous, caring, and hard-working. She always tries to see the bright side of things and has remained hopeful despite experiencing unimaginable tragedy. Beth lost her first husband, JP, ten years ago, when she was only 38 years old. It was six days after they celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary. Beth had to pick up the pieces and try to rebuild her life on her own.
Years later, she took another chance at love when she met her second husband, Jay. Beth and Jay became a family, and she became a stepmom to his two amazing children. They were married for four incredible years when Jay died unexpectedly in October of 2023. He was only 47 years old, and Beth became a widow twice over at the age of 46.
Beth is the strongest person I know, but now, she needs our help. She's tried to push through her grief and pain all on her own, but just in this past year, she's dealt with losing two jobs, multiple disabilities, managing an autoimmune disorder, suffering a silent heart attack, and now needing to undergo surgery for a hip problem that has severely limited her mobility. Her unemployment insurance has run out, and she is now facing an extended period of time when it will be difficult to resume full-time work with her health conditions. Any amount we can raise here will go a long way towards giving her a moment to breathe while she tries to heal both physically and emotionally. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
