Hey everyone!

As most of you know, we have been working on a pole barn house for mom since the beginning of the year. There are some items (some big and some small) that my mom had planned on buying over time to make her new house more of a home. We were hoping to have a housewarming party for her sometime this fall, but now that we won’t be able to do it in person, we thought it would be nice to surprise my mom with a finished/furnished home when she comes back from the hospital at the end of October/Early November! It would be safest for mom to be in her own space to isolate herself from us and our kids if/when she needs to, so it would be ideal to have that space ready for her when she is discharged. I know that it would be a wonderful surprise for her after all that she has been through these past few weeks.

She made a list for me of things she has not yet purchased (see list below). Since the items she needs are at various stores (Amazon, Walmart, Ikea, Lowes), it would be challenging to do a registry from a single place. I felt the best way to ask everyone for help would be through a gofundme fundraiser. I am also planning on utilizing Facebook marketplace to save money on some of the bigger ticket items. I will purchase the essentials first and work my way down to the "wants" so she has what she needs if we don't meet our financial goal.

If you are unable to help monetarily, Eric and I could use your help moving and setting up her things, putting her clothes in the closets, organizing her kitchen drawers/cabinets, cleaning, painting trim/doors, watching the girls while we work on things, installing closet shelving, installing blinds, and probably a bunch of other things we haven't realized yet. We will take whatever we can get as we are in a time crunch to get this done!

Things my mom needs: blinds for three windows, dresser, nightstand, armchairs x 2 for living room, area rugs for bedrooms and living room, kitchen rug, lamps for living room and bedroom, twin bed frame and mattress, pots and pans, a hamper, pillows for both bed, bed skirts for full and twin bed, sheets and comforter set for twin bed, closet shelves for four closets, and a blender (list is not exhaustive, but most of what we need).
