  • my name is Beth Campbell. I was diagnosed February 25, 2025 with a very rare and aggressive sarcoma cancer. It is so rare that there is no sub type meaning it has different characteristics of several other sarcomas and liposarcoma. The initial finding was in my right thigh. After a biopsy was done, I then had radiation on my thigh in March after the tumor was radiated,I had the 7 inch tumor resected from my thigh in April. I had CT scan of my lungs in May showing that the cancer had metastasized to my lungs. And then began chemo in June. This was week long stays for chemo in the hospital every three weeks. The cancer was not responding to this treatment so I started a new regimen. In September,I began having confusion, severe headaches I went to the ER and found out that I had four lesions on my brain. The cancer had metastasized to my brain.
I was hospitalized and had double craniotomy surgery where they removed two of the larger lesions and replaced my skull with titanium plates and screws. The smaller lesions were treated with SRS or radiosurgery. I continued on with the latest chemo until the cancer was no longer responding, then I began immunotherapy. I had another scan in December where there was findings of new growth new tumors one of the tumors was lying underneath the lining of my lung, causing extreme pain, andshortness of breath I went through radiation again in December the week of Christmas I had another scan January 2026 where there are findings of a mass behind my breast bone and a mass on my spine I also had an MRI on my brain. This was my three month check up from the brain surgery and the two lesions that were removed Have grown back. One of them is significantly larger than it was before. The doctor that performed the radio surgery said that surgery is not an option and that I could stop treatment , use this time to to manage pain and to just spend quality time with my loved ones. I will not be stopping treatment, although, These are all causing tremendous amount of pain landing me in the hospital just this past week the last week of January. With all that being said, our family wanted to take a cruise in October but my oncologist suggested us doing it sooner March or April . I have had people reach out wanting to donate towards the cruise because we have decided to go sooner than later . March 2 through the seventh is our cruise date.if you would like to donate we pray that the Lord bless you 100 fold for your giving hearts. If you don’t have it to give, please know that we covet your prayers at this time for our family. We know that God is still a healer. We know that God is a miracle worker. And that is our hope that he heals my body and performs a miracle in my life
