Beth's cervical cancer journey
Donation protected
After 2 LEEP procedures, a Cold Knife Cone biopsy, a blood transfusion and 3 separate emergency surgeries, a diagnosis has finally been reached: stage 3 cervical cancer with a "tumor the size of an orange", according to the oncologist.
The treatment plan consists of the surgical implant of a port, daily radiation for 7-8 weeks (EBRT and Brachytherapy [requiring additional surgery]), and weekly chemotherapy, followed by immunotherapy every 3 weeks for 12-24 months.
Anything is appreciated to help with impending expenses such as surgeries, prescription drugs, follow up appointments, hormone replacement therapy and time away from work.
