On any given night in the City of Houston approximately 10,000 women, children and men find themselves Homeless. Approximately 870,000 families in the city go hungry as a result of economic down times, underemployment, and unemployment. Houston also has become a city with one of the fastest growth rates of HIV. Houston definitely has a problem!

The Bread of Life, Inc.,  a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, provides solutions to these problems through sustaining, equipping, and transforming the forgotten- with compassion through:

“Meals that Heal”
A program in which serves thousands of hot meals each month to homeless men and women.

“Community wide Food Fair and Senior Supplemental Food Program”
Through our collaboration with the Houston Food Bank we distribute 18 Tons of fresh food weekly to over 700 families each week that includes over 300 seniors who would not normally be able to afford fresh fruits and vegetables in their diet.

“The Art Project-Houston”
TAPH, a therapeutic art and empowerment program of The Bread of Life, Inc., promotes emotional and physical well-being of men, women and children through the use of art and other creative outlets that assist with the discovery of self and also providing a means of self-sufficiency.

“HIV/AIDS Testing & Support”
The Bread of Life offers FREE HIV testing every fourth Sunday of which over 700 persons learn their statuses yearly and through our partnership with St. John’s AIDS Ministry support is provided to families impacted by this virus.
